Why there is no fixed day rate on this page

The question we get most often is what a Holobox costs per day. An honest answer to that is a range, not a figure, because four things drive the price and they differ per request. Quote a single day rate and you name a number that is too high for half the enquiries and too low for the other half.

What we do instead: you get a quote with a concrete amount for your situation within one working day. The four points below determine that amount.

• Duration — one trade-fair day prices differently from a week, and a week differently from a season. The longer the run, the lower the price per day.
• Location and logistics — transport, set-up and take-down. A Holobox weighs 220 kilos; a Holomini fits in a car.
• Which display — a Holomini on a counter is a different order from a Holowall several metres wide.
• Content — reusing existing material costs nothing extra, producing new content does.

Rent or buy: where it tips over

For a single event or campaign, renting is almost always the cheapest route: you pay for the days you use it and nothing more. With structural use that flips. If you exhibit several times a year, or want a display permanently in a reception area, owning a unit is usually cheaper than adding up what you would spend on rental.

Exactly where the tipping point sits depends on how often you deploy it. Tell us how many days a year you expect and we will work out both options, so you can see for yourself which way it falls. Leasing is the third route: your own unit without the purchase in one go.

What a Holobox costs to own (total cost of ownership)

The starting price is not the same as the project price. For the full picture, add the items that differ per project to the hardware: content production, transport and installation, any customisation and — only if you want that functionality — optional software such as interactivity or an AI avatar.

What is not added: a mandatory software subscription. Basic operation and playing your own content require no recurring licence; the optional HEREweHOLO playback software is a one-off purchase of €720. That way the Holobox stays yours in the long run, content included.

What makes up a project price

A starting price is the hardware, not the whole project. When budgeting, count in the items below; then you know up front what a complete project involves and the quote holds no surprises.

• Hardware — the unit itself: Holomini from €5,200, Holobox from €27,500, Holowall from €63,000 (three units), excluding VAT.
• Content — reusing existing material costs nothing extra; new productions start at €940.
• AI — optional: an AI avatar or digital twin as an interactive host, quoted per project.
• Transport and installation — quoted per project based on location and planning; set-up by our own team.
• Software — no mandatory subscription; the optional playback software is a one-off purchase of €720.
• Maintenance and support — support by our own service team; parts from our own stock in The Hague.

What the content costs

The hardware is one half of the story, the content the other. What appears inside the display is produced per commission on the basis of a storyboard: scope, complexity and production method set the price. Simple productions start at €940.

If budget is a factor, AI avatars and AI-generated video are worth looking at. They bring content costs down considerably without the effect in the room suffering for it. If you already have footage, we look first at whether it is usable before shooting anything new.

How to get a price quickly

The more concrete your request, the sharper the quote. Four things are enough: which days or period, which location, which type of display you have in mind, and whether content needs to be made or you supply it yourself.
